Our guest speaker will be James Parrish, Executive Director for Equality Virginia. Founded in 1989 as Virginians for Justice, EV is the leading LGBTQ+ advocacy organization in the Commonwealth, seeking equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer people. We’ll be talking about the opportunities and challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community including housing and workplace discrimination, hate crimes and our continuing efforts to end the practice of so called conversion therapy on minors in Virginia.
Each month APV invites members and guests to a casual, after work get together at Helen’s Restaurant, 2527 West Main Street, Richmond, VA 23220 for a complimentary light dinner, wine and beer.
