We’re Back!
After three long years, the Alliance for a Progressive Virginia is proud to announce the resumption of our APV Salons. While COVID 19 isn’t gone and caution is always recommended, we feel like it’s time to start gathering again. On Monday, December 5th at 6p we’ll host our first Salon in three years at the Patrick Henry Pub in Richmond’s historic Church Hill neighborhood. Our speaker will be Virginia Commonwealth University Political Science Professor, Chris Saladino. We’ll be talking about state and national politics, the economy and international affairs, including the war in Ukraine. We’ll also give a quick rundown of the upcoming Virginia General Assembly session which starts in January.
Traditionally, our APV Salons have been monthly meetings, but at least for the next year we’ll be meeting on a quarterly basis. Also, you will notice a new location. For more than a decade APV Salons made our home at Helen’s Restaurant in the Fan. We want to express our gratitude to the Tuite family for their incredible generosity in hosting our events. Thank You from the bottom of our hearts!
Patrick Henry’s has a parlor which we have reserved from 6-8p and we will be meeting there. The restaurant will be open. This event is open to the public. APV will provide limited hors d’oeuvres but drinks and meals should be ordered from the server. This is a non smoking, indoor event and masks are recommended but optional.
Please bear with us going forward as we work out the kinks:)
The GA is coming, and as in years passed, APV will be there giving a voice to your progressive values. We’ll be starting a fundraiser soon and we’ll have a date for our Legislative Lobby Day so stay tuned.
